Mad Max (1979)
Directed by George Miller and starring Mel Gibson, this Australian dystopian action thriller would take the world by surprise. Presenting a picture of societal collapse against mayhem and murder an unhinged police cop would go on an odyssey of revenge. The film would earn more than $100 million worldwide and become an instant cult classic.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Directed by George Miller and starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Houltt and Zoe Kravitz, the film would be a huge box office success making it the most profitable of all Mad Max within the franchise. Tom Hardy takes over the role of Mad Max whilst Miller installs the story with themes of vengeance, solidarity, home and redemption.
